Online Appraisals as easy as 1-2-3!
Use the web form to send a message regarding your item. Then, process payment via the Checkout page. Then, e-mail photos and any additional information you didn’t include in your message. We will reply with confirmation of payment and confirmation of sufficient information to provide your valuation estimate. Then, like a delicious cassoulet, three days later (or sooner), you’ll receive a comprehensive appraisal.
When submitting your item for valuation we request:
-Physical dimensions (length x width x height).
-Any pertinent anecdotal or documented information (receipts, notes, and so on) or provenance about the piece including location, location of purchase, purchase price, what period it was sold as, et cetera.
-Clear (accurately lit colors and in focus) photography of the front, back, sides, interior, underside, any joinery, drawer edges, hardware, locks, labels, writing, et cetera.
-Include photography of any damage, wear, cracks, or defects. Photos of texture, color, et cetera are useful.
-For artwork that you’re unsure if it is original or a print, please attempt photography under magnification, using the zoom on your phone or otherwise.
-The best way to send photos is in the body of your e-mail, or creating a secure Google photo album and sharing the link. Failure to include sufficient information and photos will delay the process, but don’t sweat it if you forget something. We are here to help.
